My name is Niklas aka DJ Fucks Himself aka the person writing this text on Blogs Himself. I am a Berlin-based DJ, producer and overall record enthusiast. My passion for collecting records started around 2012, and has accompanied me through multiple cities, jobs, genres, relationships and musical obsessions. I have worked in music journalism in the past, and have also experienced the record business from a variety of perspectives — as an artist, as someone running a label, as a private Discogs vinyl slinger and as an employee of various record stores.
Since my days in the dying business of culture journalism are numbered, I want to use this blog to use my writing to reflect on certain music that influenced me throughout my life, as well as extending recommendations to other nerds, and maybe even encouraging some discussion.
